Sandy and Shawn’s Elegant Traditional Fall Wedding
I’m crazy in love with the colors in Sandy and Shawn’s elegant traditional fall wedding. The dominate color was rusty orange with hues tinged with red, yellow, browns, and slate gray. It was a rich color palette for this wedding north of the border in Ontario, Canada.

Sandy and Shawn’s Elegant Traditional Fall Wedding
The striking couple exchanged vows on October 4, 2014. They had a Catholic ceremony at the beautiful Paroisse St-Thomas. Photographer Chantal Benoit captured their love story.
The day began at 10:00 am with photos of Shawn, his groomsmen, and father at his home. The gals headed to the bride’s location to photograph Sandy, the bridesmaids, and her mother.
Sandy wore a stunning strapless wedding dress with ruffled layers. The veil was held in place by a silver floral comb with crystals. Her bronze open toe bridal shoes were decorated with ribbon heel bows with crystals. The wedding bouquet was a bountiful collection of fall oranges infused with greenery.
Shawn and his groomsmen suited up in slate gray attire. All the guys wore striped orange ties. Shawn donned an orange dress shirt; his groomsmen wore white. His fiery orange calla lily boutonniere was stunning. The groomsmen were handsome with their rose boutonnieres.
An elegant complement to the rusty orange, the bridesmaids wore slate gray strapless short dresses with matching shoes. Like Sandy, their bouquets were a mixture of beautiful fall oranges.
After the ceremony, the guests headed to the Hawkesbury Golf and Curling Club for a cocktail. The families and wedding party took photos at Sandy and Shawn’s home. Afterwards, they headed over to the Curling Club to take advantage of the fall scenery.
Their chic wedding reception was held at the Curling Club. Miniature pumpkins were used for place cards. I love how Sandy filled the tall glass wedding centerpieces with fall leaves. The uplighting was a sizzling pink. Guests were treated to a sit down dinner.
During dinner family and friends honored the couple with touching speeches. After the bride and groom enjoyed their first dance together, guests joined them on the dance floor.
