Rustic Wedding at Fair Weather Farms in Monroe, Georgia
Although Kaitlin and Christopher were high school friends, it was not until their freshman year in college that he asked her on a date. On their first date the couple realized how different they were. Instead of pulling them apart, the differences only served to knit them closer together. They dated for five years.

Spontaneous and intimate, Christopher popped the question to Kaitlin on his family farm at dusk one evening. Kaitlin accepted and the couple decided on a short six month engagement period! The couple wed on October 3, 2015.
Kaitlin and Christopher wanted a wedding that would weave a beautiful tapestry of their personalities and abiding love for one another. They chose a rustic wedding theme with French country accents. The pastoral setting of Fair Weather Farms in Monroe, Georgia was perfect for this farm boy and his princess. Izzy, their beloved pug, was included in the festivities.
At the ceremony entrance Kaitlin displayed a small chest filled with vintage handkerchiefs for the guests. The ceremony was held in the lodge looking out a wall of windows showcasing a majestic oak tree. The room was decorated with candles and lavender roses. The dread of every wedding couple happened: it rained. Instead of “dampening” their day, the rain only added to the romance and intimacy. Photographer Brandy Angel even captured some images of the ladies in their colorful rain boots.
After the wedding ceremony, everyone headed to the rustic wooden pavilion for the reception festivities. The pitter-patter of raindrops falling on the tin roof only enhanced the warmth of the evening. Pastel purple floral arrangements surrounded the tables. Eclectic vintage china plates were used for the place settings. Silverware was rolled in vintage napkins. They guests enjoyed dinner and an delectable array of desserts that included a pie bar and wedding cake. In addition, the guests enjoyed all of Christopher’s favorite cakes made by his grandmother.
Kaitlin summed up her wedding day best: “The night was even more magical than I could have ever imagined. It truly was the best day of our lives”.
