Myana and Bryan’s Rustic Country Wedding in Texas

By  |  0 Comments

I am always impressed at the creativity of DIY brides. Their ideas are inspirational to other brides and their clever use of materials are imaginative. Like most brides, Myana had a budget, but she did not let that stop her from having a charming wedding.

Myana and Bryan’s Rustic Country Wedding

Myana and Bryan’s rustic country wedding was held on family land in Bosqueville near Waco, Texas. They wed on October 11, 2014.

Their wedding was an intimate affair with family and friends pitching in to help with the planning and decorations. A grand oak tree presided over the alfresco wedding ceremony. George’s Restaurant and Catering provided the food under the tented reception nearby.

Myana was a vision of loveliness in her wedding dress from Georgio’s Bridal and Prom. Her bridal gown had a long tulle and lace train. She wore crystal drop earrings and bracelet. Her well-worn cowboy boots added a decidedly Texan flair. Her hairstyle was partially swept back.

In keeping with the rustic wedding theme, Myana’s accessories incorporated burlap. She had burlap ceremony chair ribbons, ring-bearer pillow, flower-girl basket, and garter. For her wedding centerpieces she used three bottles painted lime green, pink, and brown. The bottles were embellished with twine and lace doilies. Glass mugs were used for beverages.

Their western style wedding cake was white with brown icing panels. Raffia was tied around each tier. The cake rested atop a grapevine wreath. The wedding cake topper was two horseshoes with a cowboy hat.

The couple’s wedding day turned out just as they planned: a beautiful day surrounded by family and friends. Best wishes to Myana and Bryan.

A special thanks to Shelly Taylor Photography for providing another great wedding!
