Dream Wedding Reception, Part III

By  |  0 Comments

Our goal at WeddingWishes.com is to help make your wedding planning as smooth and pleasant as possible. With that in mind we asked wedding professionals their recommendations on planning a wedding. This post is third in our series on how to have a “Dream Wedding Reception.” Our expert is none other than Salli G.  She is an experienced wedding planner with 18 years experience, and she has been a member of Wedding Wishes for most of that time. Her affiliations include the Association of Bridal Consultants, and Association of Wedding and Party Professionals.

When we posed the question, “How can a bride truly have her dream wedding,” this was her response:

Weddings are for family, close friends, special relatives, not for casual acquaintances. It is important to know that you are paying for catering by the person. Taking care of the mass of people, choosing the right venue, food, entertainment, flowers, cake, and everything that goes with it helps to plan a successful celebration.

Stay within your wedding budget. There are packages out there to fit your needs. A lower budget may have a DJ instead of a band, linens that the venue supplies, menu and cake from the caterer. Get a better photographer and shop the best price on the videographer. Have a friend take the video and a professional to add the music and final touches. To get the best for your money get seasonal flowers. Wedding invitations should always be in good taste whether you have a small or large budget. The invitation is the first thing to go out and sets the pace of the wedding.

No wedding is complete without help. You can not do it yourself. A wedding planner is a necessity not a luxury. They save you time and money.

Salli G is available for day of wedding coordinator as well as a full service wedding planner. Additionally, she plans Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, Parties, Special Events, and Quinceanera Parties. She may be reached at 972.233.0976 or view her Portfolio. Initial consultations are complimentary.
