Danielle and Brendan’s Real Wedding at Mayfair Farms, New Jersey

By  |  0 Comments

Danielle and Brendan began dating in August 2003. Every relationship has trials, but Danielle and Brendan did not know how quickly their relationship would be tested. In September, just one month after they began dating, Danielle’s father passed away. Brendan remained by Danielle’s side through her grief and mourning. Danielle knew that Brendan would be by her side no matter what.

Danielle and Brendan’s Real Wedding at Mayfair Farms, New Jersey

Not wanting to rush things, the couple dated for 10 years before getting engaged! Through those ten years they encountered bumps along the way, even separating for 2 weeks. They quickly realized the good outweighed any difficulties they were experiencing. They learned a key to enduring relationships. They require commitment and work and they both gave 100% to one another. With the birth of four nephews, the joint love they felt for their extended family made them realize they were in for the long haul.

In June 2013 Brendan surprised Danielle and got down on one knee and proposed. Danielle’s response was an enthusiastic “Yes!” They celebrated their engagement with an impromptu champagne celebration with close family and friends.

Their relationship encountered another test when Brendan’s father unexpectedly passed away in the beginning of 2014. As they had in the past, they banded together and mourned as a team. It became very important to the couple to plan their wedding in a way that would commemorate their beloved family while at the same creating a joyous celebration.

They wed on November 8, 2014. Happily, the day went without a hitch. Their favorite part, aside from being married, was sharing the day with close friends and family.

It was important that every wedding detail remain true to them. Of prime importance was to find as many ways to honor their heavenly loved ones that would bring happiness and peace, not sorrow. Danielle wore her dad’s last gift to her, a cross, on her grandmother’s chain. She wore an anklet bracelet with her father’s picture so he could still walk her down the aisle at the wedding ceremony. Such a precious idea!

Her brother had his first look, just like she would have wanted her dad to. He walked her down the aisle giving her away to her beloved. Brendan’s mother passed down his father’s wedding band to be used as his own.

Baby pictures in small frames were tied to their mothers’ bouquets. Table numbers were numbered to pay homage to every year they dated. Family slideshows played while they danced. The night was filled with emotion-remembering loved ones while celebrating their own union. Their wedding day fills them with warm memories. They look forward to sharing their lives together-the good, bad, and in between. We think they are ahead of the game!

We extend a hearty thank you to Veronica at VeraLuce Photography for sharing this wonderful wedding.
