Hillary’s Bridal Photo Shoot at SMU in Dallas
In keeping with her surroundings, Hillary’s bridal photo shoot at SMU in Dallas was classically elegant. She felt like a princess in her wedding dress with sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. A beautiful crystal bridal sash was added to her ensemble. Caught in the wind, her long veil danced behind her. Photographer Shelley Foster made Hillary relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

Hillary and Jacob wed on December 29, 2012. Their wedding venue is one of my favorites-The Room on Main in downtown Dallas. The Room on Main is a fabulous 6,000 square foot ballroom with antique chandeliers, wooden floors and Chiavari chairs. Soaring windows flank three walls.
Shelley was radiant in her Watters wedding dress from Stardust Celebrations in Plano. Like most brides, Shelley felt like she was floating on air. What does she cherish most about her wedding day? It was her husband’s sweet smile that never faded. She treasures the stolen private moments she had with Jacob in between the chaos of cake cutting and bouquet tossing. “A million things turned out different than I had planned but I couldn’t care because every moment felt so divine,” she said. A master behind the lens, Shelley captured the emotions and personality of the day without intruding upon the couple.
Since planning a wedding can be so stressful, I am always curious what advice brides have to share with engaged women in the throes of wedding planning. Above all, Shelley recommends to enjoy the time. Don’t get so caught up in the details of the centerpieces or ribbons on the bouquets because you won’t remember. The smiles. What you will remember are the smiles and joy of the occasion. After all she says, “The real fun begins when the day is over!” Well said!
